Technical requirements for Le jeu de l'amour et du hasard

• Playing Space

  20’-30’ (width) x 15’-20’ (depth)

  Audience Capacity

  Lighting

  • 10-20 instruments for general area lighting (10 areas), depending on size of stage – pale lavender (R51) from stage right, pale amber (R09) from stage left, rose (R44) from back or down; add medium amber (R21) from back if possible; general lights should provide sufficient coverage of entire stage; control of lights can be individual or grouped according to colour

  • Light board can be computerized or two-scene pre-set
  • All lights must be in position prior to troupe’s arrival – troupe will confirm set-up with host no later than 2 weeks prior to booking and will confirm cues (focus, levels) upon arrival

  Sound

  • Sound system with speakers (stage or house)
  • CD player with capacity to play CD-R media

  Border and Legs

  Necessary only if working in tall proscenium space

  Set

  • 1 small armless chair

  Other

  • Dressing room with iron, ironing board, clothes rack with hangers, full-size mirror, access to private rest room (or one that can be closed to the public during the rehearsal/performance)
  • Bottled water or drinking fountain readily available for performers
  
  

• $3,000 for 1 performance includes all travel, lodging, and per diem expenses
• Deposit of 20% due 2 months prior to confirmed date of booking
• Balance due on date of performance 
• Late fees of 1% per week will be assessed if either deposit or final payment is not collected when due 
• Any other additional technical or facilities fees (theatre rental, technical personnel) are paid by host institution
