The Théâtre de la Chandelle Verte theatre internship is designed for individuals with a strong respect for the collaborative nature of theatre and with a special interest in participating in a French-language theatrical production. Interns experience first hand the workings of an active professional troupe, acquiring invaluable skills in acting and in other aspects of technical production. | ||
Rehearse |
Through a rigorous four-week summer rehearsal period, interns receive hands-on training in production work where three complementary processes are valued: the individual creative process, the collaborative process, and the critical/analytical process. The summer rehearsal period culminates in 3-5 performances per semester at institutions nationwide. | ||
Explore |
By actively participating with Chandelle Verte, interns acquire a set of dramatic skills for French-language theatre and in doing so explore their own commitment and suitability to the demands and rewards of a professional life in theatre. | ||
| Qualify | - at least 20 years old
- letter of application/intent - headshot & resume detailing theatre experience - 2 letters of recommendation: 1 letter demonstrating theatre background 1 letter demonstrating French proficiency |
